Manipur Election 2017 Live: Highest Voter Turn out Till Date in Assembly Elections 2017

 

Over 84.8  percent voter turnout was recorded in the first phase of polling in Manipur in 38 constituencies spread across six districts in the hill state.  The second and final phase of polling will be held on 8 March.
87% turnout recorded in Imphal East. This is the highest ever for the constituency.


Manipur the north east state has a major concern issue right now, economic blockade created by the United Naga Council. PM Modi during their rally told the manipur people that this is a small issue which can be resloved within 4 months but Congress despite ruling over 15 years could not help the people in removing the blockade.
